June 18, 2019 - EAA Chapter Meeting -
This month's EAA Chapter meeting was at Mick A's house. Mick has been building a Mustang II in his garage and is quite far along as you can see. Initially the rain kept us inside the garage but later on we were able to go on to the driveway. The wings are handled much differently in the Mustang II than they are on the RV. Notice how the wing root is an integral part of the fuselage. |
Mick has put some awesome EIS displays in. His panel has some serious redundancy!
The engine is ready to go on this engine stand.
The horizontal stab and elevator.
The wings are done and ready to go.
Notice the backup alternator. I need one of these for my plane! Although my B&C Alternator has worked like a champ so far.
Nice lathe. | ||||||
Some serious fuel line plumbing at the wing root.
Tough crowd. | ||||||
Now that we're outside, we can take a better look at the forward fuse.

Mick has really done an outstanding job building this plane. Shouldn't be much longer before he is flying through the sky like an eagle!
